Een avontuur!

Wat is het beste avontuur? Stofjes kopen! Een bekentenis, ik heb twee verhuisdozen vol met stofjes. Deze moet ik van mezelf eerst opmaken. Dus ik heb mijzelf een restrictie opgelegd; geen stofjes meer kopen! Dat vind ik heel, heel moeilijk om vol te houden. Daarom vermijd ik stoffenwinkels en markten met stoffenkraampjes. Maar... stofjes kopen voor een vriendin mag wel! (Van de vogeltjes stof heeft ze een kattenmandje gemaakt, is dat niet ironisch?!). Op deze manier kan ik toch mijn favoriete stoffen winkels bezoeken. Woehoe voor stoffenwinkels! Er is een hele grote aan de Coolsingel in Rotterdam, Schröder stoffen.

The best adventure; buying fabric!!!! A confession, I have two big boxes with fabric, which I have to use up first. So I am not allowed to buy fabric for myself anymore. I find that really, really hard to do, I usually avoid the fabric stores so I can't be tempted. But I can buy some for my friend (who made a cat-basket with the bird-fabric I am holding in the picture, ironic!) and I can help my neighbour pick out fabric too. This way I can still visit the lovely fabric store! Woohoo for the fabric stores! There is a big one in the centre of Rotterdam, Schröder Stoffen.

Isn't it cute? Maybe you are wondering if I can really help her sew this skirt, I only began sewing myself. You are right, I can't, yet. But I hope I have learned enough in a couple of weeks to be a real help to her. Do you teach creative skills to children? Which ones are easy to teach?
