"Zijn naam is Johannes"

Vorige week heb ik het verhaal van Zacharias en Elizabeth verteld, uit Lucas 1. Erg oude mensen die toch nog een zoon kregen. Dat is onmogelijk, maar bij God zijn alle dingen mogelijk!

Marcus 10:27, "Jezus zag hen aan en zeide: Bij mensen is het onmogelijk, maar niet bij God; want alle dingen zijn mogelijk bij God."

De zoon heette Johannes (de Doper).

Last week I told the story of Zacharias and Elizabeth (Luke 1). Very old people, who got a son in their old age! Which is impossible, but with God everything is possible!! In Holland, when a baby is born, we eat round biscuits with anise sprinkles. Blue and white when it is a boy, and pink and white when it is a girl. So we did just that, for the baby boy John!;)

De verloren zoon

We hebben een puzzel gemaakt van de verloren zoon en zijn vader, Lucas 15.

Jona!

Vandaag hebben we geluisterd naar het verhaal van Jona (het boek Jona in de bijbel). God hoort ons overal, zelfs binnenin een grote vis! En Hij antwoordt!

Today we listened to the story of Jonah.(book of Jonah) God hears us everywhere, even when we are in the inside of a very big fish!! And He answers!

De meisje hebben een notitieboekje versierd. Elk heeft een eigen notitieboekje vol met liedjes en de bijbelteksten, en kleurplaten. Elke week komen er nieuwe bij.

And the girls made pretty notebooks with the songtexts of all the songs we learned so far.

De bijbeltekst van afgelopen keer: Filippenzen 4:13. "Ik vermag alle dingen in Hem die mij kracht geeft". En de bijbeltekst bij het verhaal van Jona: Psalm 34:18. "Roepen zij, dan hoort de Here, en Hij redt hen uit al hun benauwdheden." Zoals je kan zien is er een glitter-sticker naast de bijbeltekst geplakt. Deze krijgen de kinderen als ze de tekst goed geleerd hebben.

The bible text from last week; Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". And Psalm 34:17 "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." There is a sparkly butterfly sticker next to the first bibleverse. That is because she could say the text by heart!
